Who’s it for? : Those wishing to develop there skill set in PE, School Sport & Physical Activity working as a HLTA, TA, Sports coach or Sport Development Officer.

What will you learn?
• Understand schools and the principles of teaching physical education, school sport and physical activity.
• Safeguard children and young people in PESSPA
• Maintain health and safety of pupils in PESSPA
• Support children to develop through PESSPA relative to their expected development
• Implement diversity and inclusion principles in physical education, school sport and physical activity
• Support assessment for learning in physical education
• Plan, deliver and review a PESSPA unit of work
• Organise and lead an event or competition that contributes to the PESSPA programme

How will you be assessed: Completion of portfolio of tasks, 6 linked PE sessions and completing observed coaching session.

What to bring: Suitable clothing for practical participation based on weather, food, drink & note taking equipment
